There is a type of exercise which is good for virtually everyone; which keeps you very fit, is good for weight loss, tones up the abs, and keeps the heart healthy. It is more effective at keeping you healthy than the ‘cardio’ which governments trumpet about.
This exercise method is cheap, quick to do and needs little or no equipment.
Sound too good to be true?
I thought that – bgut I’ve been doing it for two weeks now. It is called interval training – and I am a convert. The cardio and weight training I have been doing for the past year have gone by the board. My exercise regime is now governed by interval training.
I still do cardio – and I still work on my muscles. But I do them within an interval training; that is, I do an exercise hard for just one minute, then rest for 1-2 minutes. Rinse and repeat.
This is the toughest exercise that I have ever done – but I believe it will be really effective for me.
I have written about interval training on www.healthynumber1.com – my new website.
I was introduced to interval training by a personal trainer at a health clinic in Denver. This was a real eye-opener for me. It’s backed by loads of research. I strongly recommend you check it out. Here’s the link again:
Let me know how you get on if you try it out.
