Circulation Problems Linked to Inflammation

by malc on July 5, 2009

So… big news.

Because we know with certainty that raised inflammatory markers  coincide with more heart attacks and strokes why aren’t we all being tested annually after age  40?? This would help problems relating to the heart and blood circulation no end.

Doctors  would probably say that the proof is not there that lowering inflammatory markers decreases heart attack or stroke.

Well, go to it government – it’s surely not a hard one to prove?! Drug companies won’t do it because the treatment does not involve drugs – omega 3 fatty acids and dietary changes are the main treatments for most people.

Personally, I will have my inflammatory markers checked annually and, if they start to rise, I will take measures to lower them. This, I think, is the safe choice.

What do you think?
