Because we know with certainty that raised inflammatory markers coincide with more heart attacks and strokes why aren't we all being tested annually after age 40??

Circulatory problems, especially stroke and heart attack, have been shown to be more of a risk for certain older people; those with inflammation.

The study’s subjects were aged between 70 and 82. It showed showed that they were more likely to die of a heart attack or stroke, rather than suffer the same but not die if they had a high level of inflammatory markers in the blood.

The blood markers measured were c-reactive protein, fibrinogen, and interleukin-6. These are all well-known factors which, when in the blood at a raised level, indicate inflammation.
