Cola In Excess Can Paralyse

by malc on June 16, 2009

coca_cola-w200-h200 OK – some people go to excess. Take Cola – be it Pepsi or Coke. There really are people who drink 8, 9 or even 10 litres a day!

And guess what – they can damage themselves doing so!

Seriously, anyone drinking over 2 litres a day risks paralysis, according the researchers writing in the International Journal of Clinical Practice, based in Greece. The researchers, from the University of Ioannina, described various cases of the condition.

In one, a pregnant women was drinking between three and seven litres of cola a day.

The problem comes because the sugar and the caffeine in cola can produce very low potassium levels in the blood. In extreme cases, this can lead to paralysis.

The answer is easy – DON’T DRINK COLA AT ALL!

Then you’re pretty safe.

Some people take 8-9 litres of COKE a day? It’s incredible that they’re still alive!
