MacDonald’s are in talks to be the official fast food outlet at the London Olympics. At a time when the country is – slowly – waking up to the obesity threat this would be a sad choice.
I know MacDonald’s do a mixed salad these days; but, let’s face it, this is a token gesture towards good health. MacDonald’s food is basically crap and the UK Government should set an example and keep them out of the limelight – especially where the Olympics is concerned.
While we’re at it, there are a few ministers who could show willing and lose a stone or two. That would set a good example to the country.
