A new study confirms the benefits of taking fish oil – in food or in supplements. They say the benefits for heart health are strong.
Oily fish is a great way to get fish oil. This includes salmon, sardines, trout, herring and whitebait.
The study, carried out by the Oschner Medical Center, New Orleans, recommends taking 500mg of fish oil daily for everyone; and 1000mg if there is an existing heart problem.
