The number of Britons affected with “Swine ‘flu” has reached fifteen. None of these is seriously ill. This ‘flu strain produces mild fever and the usual ‘flu symptoms – tiredness, lack of stamina, sleeping, aching joints.
The fifteenth victim sent his image, talking on the phone, to the Daily Mail newspaper. A National Health Service spokeswoman said he had: “mild cold-like symptoms”.
Though there are over 600 cases worldwide, the infection may wain. However, it is not completely predictable, so we can only hope the feared pandemic will not materialize.
The advice in the UK
is to take extra care to wash hands and to cough and sneeze into a hanky.
It always astounds me the number of people who come out from a “Gents” cubicle and exit without washing their hands. Yuk. To appeal to these gentlemen (and I suppose ladies, though I have no personal observations here) to change their ingrained hand-washing habits, is a tad optimistic. Perhaps be careful who you shake hands with.
Genetic Test for Swine ‘Flu
Scientists at Southampton University, UK, will have a DNA test for Swine ‘flu ready within a few days – perhaps the first such test in the world. This will be packaged and ready to be delivered throughout Europe in about 2 weeks. It will enable hospitals to accurately diagnose swine ‘flu in 2 hours.
This is possible because the US Centre for Disease Control released the details of the virus’s genetic code. Southampton was then able to work on this data.
Herbs for the Immune System
Our advice to avoid any infection is – keep the immune system strong.
The best foundation for a great immune system is: a great lifestyle – brilliant diet, good level of exercise, good body weight. On top of this, it’s excellent to add immune system herbs.
Three good herbs and herbal combinations for the immune system are:
1. The 90-day Immune Programme with Capsules or with Drops
2. Echinacea Capsules or Drops, and
3. Power Garlic Capsules
1. The 90-day Immune Programme. This comes in two forms:
a. The 90-day Immune Programme with Capsules contains:
- Echinacea Compound Capsules – a great immune system formula containing Echinacea mixed with three other great herbs – including our special low-odour garlic. This formula has stood the test of time. We have used it successfully for 25 years.
- Lym Capsules: a great immune formula based on Clivers and Pau d’Arco.
- Pau d’Arco Tea: – a great immune system herb from South America.
b. The 90-day Immune Programme with Drops contains:
- Echinacea Drops – pure echinacea. This product is the powerful FLUID EXTRACT – not the more commonly found, and much weaker, tincture.
- Lym Drops: a lovely immune formula based on Clivers, Yarrow and Calendula.
- Pau d’Arco Tea: – an immune system herb from South America.
2. Echinacea Capsules or Drops
The benefits of Echinacea are widely known. At times of need, it is wise to double up on the usual amount recommended and take 2, or even 3, capsules, 3 times a day; or 30 or even 45 drops 3 times a day in water or juice.
It is important to appreciate that our own Echinacea Drops are the fluid extract (FE) form. This is 3 or even 4 times stronger than the more usually found tincture. When making a fluid extract (FE), one kilo of the herbs is always used to produce 1 litre of the resulting FE. Whereas with a tincture, much less is always used – usually, a kilo of the herb will make 3 or even 4 litres of tincture!
So, 50 ml of our FE is 3 or 4 times stronger than 50 ml of a tincture of the same herb. This makes our own Echinacea FE excellent value when compared with the UK’s market-leading Echinacea liquid – which is a tincture.
By checking the back of the label you can see just how weak a tincture is compared to an FE; it will say “3:1″ (3 to 1) or 4:1. We always use FEs when they are available – because they are stronger, and you need less of them. Happily, 95% of our ‘Drops’ are FE.
3. Power Garlic Capsules – for the Immune System
Our fantastic low-odour garlic – for the immune system. One of our top selling products.
We recommend you take 2-3 capsules every day. Using Power Garlic Capsules you will take garlic without the ‘garlic odour’, but also without losing the garlic’s power, through poor drying methods some other brands do use.
Power Garlic Capsules offer a very high quality garlic product, organically grown in the USA. We have sold it for nearly 20 years and have many satisfied customers.
The Best Herbs for the Immune System?
Our top recommendation is our first choice about – number 1; the 90-day Immune Programme – either with capsules or with drops. This is the most comprehensive approach. In each case it includes an Echinacea product; and the capsules version includes our great Power Garlic Capsules.
For cost: choose the Immune Programme with Drops version – it works out a little cheaper in use. For convenience – most people find capsules more convenient – so choose the with capsules version.
You choose which suits you.

Stay Healthy
Let’s hope this ‘pandemic’ does not materialize; but also, let’s prepare our immune system to stay strong using the measures mentioned above. We are then in the best condition to deal with “swine ‘flu”, “Asian ‘flu”, “avian bird ‘flu” or any other “‘flu”!

I would also suggest a daily dosage of colloidal silver with is known as a natural antibiotic. Silver gained regulatory approval as an antimicrobial agent in the early 1900s. However, in the early 1940s.the use of silver was diminished with the introduction of antibiotics.
