Whole Foods – Optimistic

wholefoods-market-w200-h200Whole Foods Market have a massive presence in the USA market. I was recently in Denver and one of their stores – packed with healthy food of every imaginable type – was the size of Sainsbury’s or Tesco’s.

The Denver area has seven of these! So much for ‘unhealthy Americans’.

They opened a store in Kensington, central London, and the profits have not been great. They are sticking at it, though. And they have re-branded the four Fresh & Wild London stores – which they own as Whole Foods.

We could certainly do with more shops in the UK like Whole Foods Market. But then we do need more people in the UK to spend more on healthy food.

Question: Would you spend 20% more on your food bill if the quality and choice was excellent, and additives and chemicals at an absolute minimum?
